Apologies for Absence - 1924 Austin 12 Clifton Tourer

Andrew and Judy came all the way from Scotland in their Austin 12 tourer. The car is completely original apart from a respray, and has lived in the same area of Scotland since new.

Being a nice afternoon we took a break from barbeque preparations and took the Austin for a drive to the village pub.

The Austin 12 looks for all the world like a super sized Austin 7 Chummy, but unlike the 7 it is very comfortable and civilized as a passenger.

The Austin is a big car, but was dwarfed by the veterans that Andrew went to play with rather than coming drag racing.
